FROM FAST FOOD TO FAST HORSES

For over 20 years, Dan was a successful McDonald’s franchise owner and operator, but his heart was always with the horses. His foray into horse ownership began as a casual interest, however he quickly realized there was a lot more to the game than meets the eye. His initial experiences were marred by feeling ripped off and dealing with less-than-reputable characters in the industry. Determined to change this, he dove head first into the world of thoroughbred bloodstock.

He went out on his own in 2017, selling his restaurants to buy 40 acres of desert in Nevada, which he transformed into a thriving horse farm where he bred and raised mares and foals. He believes this hands-on experience, witnessing the development of young thoroughbreds, gives him a unique edge over other agents. This intimate knowledge of the animals, their needs and their potential sets the stage for the choices he makes when selecting and managing horses for clients.
