Winter Sales!

It’s sales season again! It’s time to begin building on a great 2023 that saw 6 stakes wins from the small group of horses that I selected.

 I will be attending a couple of smaller and sometimes overlooked sales in the coming weeks. First, I’ll be at the CTBA Winter Mixed Sale on January 30 in Pomona, CA. This sale produced the ultra fast Lord Prancealot for owner Jeff Ganje last year. He’s racked up $125k already and poised to bring in more as a 3 year old in 2024. I purchased stakes placed Classy City in this sale last year for a paltry $12k as well.

Right on the heels of the CTBA sale comes the Fasig Tipton Winter Mixed Sale in Lexington, KY on February 5-6. I picked up a couple of very nice yearlings in this sale last year by Global Campaign and Demarchelier. They are both looking great in early training. This year’s sale just got a big boost today with the addition of the Lothenbach Stables complete dispersal. There are some unbelievably nice yearlings and mares available.

For anyone not wanting to wait for these yearlings to grow up and race, the Lothenbach Stables dispersal includes several horses that are already competing as well. They will be sold via online auctions. I can help with that as well.
